Nice Ukulele given the price        

We did a ton of searching for the right beginner Ukulele to give grandma for Christmas. We were satisfied with this one. As noted elsewhere, you need to tune the strings a few times before they hold the right notes for any time.

The finish and overall appearance of the instrument are nice as are the sounds it makes.

Probably not appropriate for anything other than a beginner....but what do you expect for the price?

Good starter Ukulele        

Bought it hoping to just have something to play with a little as I was interested in the Ukulele. I became so interested in the instrument that I ended up buying a better one. This one is perfect if you're looking for something to start on, or aren't sure how into the instrument you'll get. It works perfectly, although at first it wouldn't hold a tune so I had to tighten the screws on the tuning pegs slightly, didn't really take any effort though. Once the strings stretch out and get worn in after a few days it doesn't untune very easily. Nice and sturdy, perfect for beginners.

E7! Some songs need E7!        

Maybe it's just the one I bought, and not a defect with the whole batch, but every time I play E7 it sounds real plucky. A definite *donk* sound. Just like that, donk donk donk. If not for that, I'd say it's a perfect beginner's ukulele.

good uke for the money i have had it a day and i bought a mel bay beginners magazine with it and i learned row row row your boat and amazing grace in the first day. easy instrument to play
