BEYONG SATISFACTION

This is the first ukulele I've bought and I don't need the experts to tell me this because I know Lanikai will not disappoint you. I am so satisfied with mine. The tonality and the fact that it came with aquila strings make a musician very happy.

Completely surpassed my expectation; loving it!

I didn't know anything about ukuleles but I wanted to try one out and picked this one up as a Gold Box deal. The price lead me to expect a toy-level, clunky instrument with cheap sound but none of these assumptions turned out to be true.

The build is solid, smooth, and not cheap looking. Pegs turn smoothly but stay in position. Bridge height feels right and resonance is great. When I opened the box and plucked it around I could't believe the sound coming out from such a tiny body. Strings have been holding tone pretty well after the initial week and look pristine after several weeks of playing. I'm having so much fun with it that it's hard to put it down to go to bed each night. (I even play it a little before leaving to work.)

Being a soprano size, the frets are pretty narrow and it's hard to hold standing up, but that's a size issue and not build-quality. For my next ukulele I plan to stick with Lanikai and get a LU-21 tenor. I'll keep on using the LU-11 for travelling and fun, though!

Nice ukelele

i bought this for my daughter as a gift. It's a great ukelele for the money. Sounds great, and doesn't break the bank.

Great Ukulele

I never played ukulele before this and bought it on a whim. It's great and really fun! It's also sturdy so it doesn't feel like a flimsy toy. Comes with a little packet that teaches you a few simple chords and chords, and there's also lots of great sites online to help you learn. Like others have said, new ukulele's go out of tune pretty fast, and it's true for this one as well. But I expect with more playing I won't have to tune it as often.

Solid instrument

This is a solid instrument. It has survived a trip to Texas and back and all hardware has given zero signs of give. Great product! Just an FYI Soprano's are the smallest size Ukuleles.
